Get to know the Role We are looking for an Operations and Administrative Lead to own and run our day to day fund operations and administrative matters. This includes trade processing, reconciliation and settlements at GrabInvest and what lies beyond. We expect the successful candidate to be able to identify, define and develop solutions to issues independently and be able to collaborate with the other teams to contribute the specialised knowledge of the operations domain. We believe a successful candidate will ideally have 5 years of experience in the back and middle office in financial services, including fintech, banking and/or asset management, but if you believe you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you either way. You will work with a dedicated group whose mission is to bring a wealthy mindset to everyone and to provide simple, transparent and easy to understand investment products and solutions to retail customers. Roles and responsibilities include the proper functioning of
(a) Trade Processing;
(b) Settlements;
(c) Reconciliations;
(d) Collateral and Cash management;
(e) Subscriptions and Redemptions; and
(f) Valuation & NAV The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day trade processing, reconciliation and settlements
  • Manage and monitor all aspects of operations including settlements, collateral and cash management
  • Develop, establish and enhance control processes around trade booking, verification and reconciliation
  • Write up standard operating procedures when new process is established
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory directives and guidelines
  • Track system errors and performances and escalate timely to ensure trades are processed in a timely manner on daily basis
  • Liaise with trade placement platforms like Calastone, fund administrators and system vendors to resolve trade issues including trade breaks and other reconciliation errors
  • Key operations PIC to work with other teams such as product, technology, finance, outsourced teams and compliance to ensure operational process is smooth and in line with various service level agreements
The Must-Haves:
  • You have the Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility required to work at Grab
  • You have back and middle office experience at a bank, fintech, robo advisor, asset manager or equivalent
  • You have experience in trade placement into funds or unit trusts or other capital market products such as ETF
  • You have experience with working with colleagues from other departments for new or ongoing projects
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in investment and asset management operations.
