Position : Operations Centre Assistant Operations Officer

Contract period : 11 Months estimate start date \xe2\x80\x93 tentative Mar 2024.

Working hours \xe2\x80\x93 Day shift (0800-2015hrs), Night Shift (2000hrs-0815hrs), Off, Off

1. Purpose

You will be part of the team in SCDF\xe2\x80\x99s Operations Centre, which processes all 995 emergency calls in the areas of Fire, Rescue, EMS and Hazardous Materials. The SCDF Operations Centre is also responsible for dispatching the appropriate SCDF resources and manages all ongoing SCDF incidents. You will be involved in the live operations and perform roles such as emergency call taking and monitoring of SCDF\xe2\x80\x99s resources (i.e. ambulances and the various fire appliances).

2. Responsibilities

a) To perform call-taking, processing of 995 calls and assist in the full incident management cycle.

b) To perform monitoring duties for Ambulance and Fire Resources

c) To assist in the collation of data

d) To assist in administrative duties

e) To attend trainings conducted by Operations Centre

3. Requirements

a) Singaporean

b) Diploma from Polytechnic. Willing to Consider - GCE A-Level, Higher NITEC, Diploma IB, NUS High School, NAFA, LASELLE, ITE (except Culinary Arts). Salary $2,000 - $2,200 per month depending on qualification and relevant working experience.

c) Willing to work in shifts \xe2\x80\x93 Day (12hrs), Night (12hrs), Off, Off shift pattern

d) Preferably possess at least 1 year of working experience in a call centre environment or medically related organisation

e) Be proficient (both written and verbal)

f) Possess at least basic computer literacy skills such as using Microsoft Office applications and the Internet

g) Able to work well in teams and people from diverse backgrounds

h) Possess good interpersonal and oral communication skills, confident and able to articulate well

i) Able to work well under pressure
