PARALEGAL, ASEAN & SOUTH PACFIC OPERATING UNIT POSITION OVERVIEW: This role will be responsible for supporting The Coca-Cola Company’s Legal Team in the ASEAN & South Pacific Operating Unit, with a particular focus on Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia & PNG. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team with company secretarial, contractual, marketing and intellectual property matters, as well as general paralegal and administrative tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Company Secretarial

  • Prepare of board & shareholder circulating resolutions, board appointments and resignations, and minute taking at Director’s Annual General Meetings.
  • Prepare and lodgement of online filings, including liaison with other relevant departments, with relevant authorities to maintain business/investment licenses and statutory reports.
  • Maintenance of GEMS (Corporate Register database).
Bottler Documentation
  • Support Legal Counsels on all Bottler’s Agreement and ancillary authorizations management, including coordinating with business and Corporate Legal and maintain local records.
Intellectual Property
  • Coordinate trademark clearances between business and Trademark Counsel.
  • Coordinate trademark renewal instructions between business and Trademark Counsel.
  • Support and partner with Trademark Counsel managing various Company IP protection efforts, including dealing with IP infringements by third parties and managing IP authorizations.
Contracting
  • Contract management and drafting support.
Marketing & Promotions
  • Support Legal Counsels with review of Consumer Promotion Terms & Conditions and associated Key Visuals and other tasks to support the review and approval of marketing materials on an as-needs basis.
General Paralegal tasks and OU Work
  • Coordination of monthly OU Legal Dashboard reporting.
  • Support OU Compliance Program including coordinating and partnering with OU Legal Team on preparation of Quick Guides and training materials.
  • General paralegal work requested on an as needs basis, including legal research.
General Administration
  • Coordinating invoice payments and travel arrangements.
  • General administrative work as needed to support ASP OU General Counsel (e.g.: organizing legal team meetings).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
  • 3+ years as a paralegal or equivalent role.
  • Clear and concise communication – written and verbal.
  • Autonomy – Work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Confidentiality - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with maturity and professionalism.
  • Technologically savvy – ability to use Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, and comfortable learning new technologies.
  • Organized, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Passionate about our products and business and being part of a winning team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree, preferably with a Paralegal Studies Certificate or equivalent.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Fluent spoken and written English. TECHNOLOGY/SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong presentation skills.
