PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION
  • Lead implementation of GEM patience access operating model across all region and local medical and related functional teams.
  • Drive operation on all regional programs as well as adhoc cases interfacing with internal stakeholders in Global, Regional, and local teams as well as external vendors to ensure efficient and compliant delivery.
  • Manage program level internal training, tracking, and reporting for the GEM region.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Patient Access Operations
  • Lead implementation of GEM patience access operating model in partnership of Patient Access & Risk Management Lead, driving operational effectiveness and efficiencies while ensuring compliance in providing access to patients.
  • Drive the execution of assigned Patient Access Programs and adhoc cases (including program implementation, maintenance, and closure), ensure they meet overall objectives and achieve results for the benefit of patients.
  • Develop Patient Access related tracking metrics and tools in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor assigned programs and adhoc cases\xe2\x80\x99 operational performance against established metrics, escalating issues as needed and identifying areas for process improvement
  • Manage relationships with key external partners and vendors on behalf of Patient Access
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for assigned programs, including but not limited to Medical Affairs, AtM, HEPA, Supple Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Legal and applicable regional, global and local teams to launch and manage programs.
  • Problem solve for adhoc issues, ensuring program alignment to stakeholder needs.
  • Develop product demand plan and budget for assigned program(s), including tracking and periodic review and updates to ensure quality and timely delivery of efficient programs
  • Provide regular program reports to internal stakeholders, including updates for the relevant cross-functional documents such as PSMF, global trackers, etc.
  • Deliver training sessions and materials to educate new and current colleagues on patient access operations. Creating materials where required/requested.
Critical functional knowledge
  • Demonstrated understanding of Medical Affairs purpose, patience access and operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding business context and regulatory and legal environments related to patient access and risks.
  • Deep understanding of access to treatments, expanded and/or early access mechanisms and related policies, as well as access program operations.
  • Understanding of global regulations related to expanded access.
  • Project management experience related to expanded access, including
    • Ability to build consensus across multiple functional stakeholders
    • Vendor management/oversight and experience working with supply chain
    • Budget management and drug supply forecasting
  • Strong skills and knowledge in GCP, quality and/or clinical development.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in science or related field required
  • Advance degree in science or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical affairs, above country level experience is a plus.
  • Experience in patience access and program management.
