Job Description

Responsibilities:

People & Culture

  • Create the number one workplace
  • Lead all aspects of a human-centered people & culture strategy and initiatives that support our long-term vision.
  • Defining our culture strategy together with our co-founders and leadership team. Planning and executing initiatives to reach our target culture.
  • Define and together with management execute our strategy for maximizing team member engagement across all departments.
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define organizational and hiring needs, while defining growth paths, KPIs, and goals for team members.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Manage and evolve our performance and compensation review process
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manage People & Culture budgets and reports.
Office Management
  • Organise meetings and managing databases
  • Book transport and accommodation
  • Organise company events and conferences
  • Implement and maintain procedures/office administrative systems
  • Liaise with Building Management on lease and related matters
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of previous HR experience, robust knowledge of HR functions and best practices required.
  • Have a great positive attitude, a lot of energy, and a strong eagerness to join a startup with high ambitions.
  • You know what it takes to build an ambitious startup culture, where everyone goes the extra mile, always.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgement and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Added advantage if you possess IHRP Certification.
  • Possess leadership qualities and be a team player.
