Guided by the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion, the Business Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Asia supports the business operations of the Asia community engagement field team.

Responsibilities

Business Operations
  • Supports day-to-day operations and planning. Helps to manage teams\' rhythm of business (ROB), attends key meetings, ensures timely response to action items, fields and gathers information about engagement asks, and prepares for executive meetings. Assists with ROB by kicking off internal initiatives with relevant team leaders/members, managing team adherence to organizational compliance goals, and communicating team feedback and questions. Works with cross-company/team counterparts, and supports collaborations with the leadership team to articulate objectives and deliverables and to measure the outcomes relative to the stated goals. Helps review adherence to privacy and compliance.
  • Supports the internal continuation of business operations during all times, including periods of change or special circumstances through tactical execution of continuity plans.
  • Collaborates with partners and Microsoft teams to ensure design, communication, and alignment in creation and implementation of strategy execution plans. Follows best practices for strategy, consolidates information, and advocates for and prepares information to support the presentation of business cases to leader. Researches and prepares information for the team. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and aids in data-driven decisions.
  • Supports the annual budget process under the direction of others. Manages headcount for the organization. Tracks financial progress to date against budget.
  • Supports grant application and data collection processes from external partners including timely submission and quarterly accountability for progress reports.
  • Supports internal communication management including QBU templates, progress reports, internal and external communications support.
Maximizing/Extending the Leader
  • Develops relationships to establish a network of business and technical decision makers across line of business. Builds working relationships with project stakeholders and business partners.
  • Leverages knowledge of the leader\'s goals and approach to ensure team activities are aligned with the leader\'s objectives. Supports the leader in communicating key goals, priorities, and definitions. Maximizes a culture to support and represent the leader and team. May provide perspective and a point of view to the leader on specific areas inside the organization, and with regard to communications, budgets, people, and the team pulse. May assist in informing tactical business decisions for leader. Supports the landing of organizational changes (e.g., employee data management, skilling plans, landing quota).

Organizational Health
  • Tracks the use of role-based compliance trainings and new trainings, as well as leading collaborating on culture initatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion [D&I], hiring, onboarding) while partnering with Human Resources to do so. Drives the training completion rates. Plans and executes on trainings. Ensures a healthy compliance scorecard for the team.
Special Projects/Programs and Initiatives
  • Contributes to cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment. Engages in project management efforts including but not limited to skilling and education, disaster response, and employee engagement.
Specialty Responsibilities
  • Partners with communications team to land internal content. Communicates relevant information to the organization as required.
  • Gathers information to support development of storytelling content to articulate strategies, results and goals for internal and external forums (e.g., external or customer meetings, executive meetings, event presentations). Synthesizes findings within workstream and identifies links to broader strategic efforts for content and external facing thought leadership. Carries out related reporting and exception management as required.
  • Analyzes performance metrics to support accountability for the team in executing core business activities. Participates in discussions representing the leader.

Qualifications


Miminum/Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of xperience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience with working in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, or social impact field.
