Career with Regional Credit, UOBKH As part of our robust growth in the structured credit space, we have openings in the Regional Credit ( RC ) department. RC, an integral part of our structured debt franchise in Asia, has the principal mandate for all wholesale structured debt products offered by UOBKH across the various business units, including prime brokerage, private wealth management, structured finance, and structured solutions well as our regional brokerage firms. All of our financing (proposals) commitments are structured, processed, and proposed through RC. This department plays a core role in delivering our strategy in the markets we choose to operate in. The position offers an excellent, rare opportunity to get exposed to some of the most specialised businesses and industry verticals across the Asia Pacific, ranging from Real Estate, Utilities, Offshore & Marine, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Metals & Mining, Natural Resources, Media & Technology, e-Commerce, Financial Institutions and Acquisition Financing. The role will sit within the Regional Credit department, reporting directly to the Head of Regional Credit. What do we offer?

What is the job like?
  • Taking ownership of day-to-day operational activities
  • Evaluate client positions and ensure compliance with approved terms
  • Act as a control point to ensure all requirements are fulfilled during pre-disbursement and post-disbursement monitoring, including transaction execution
  • Ensuring incoming/outgoing funds are received and processed timely and recorded in an accurate manner
  • Responsible for performing regular reconciliations, preparing reports to senior management and internal records
  • Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders both within operations and outside operations such as compliance and audit
  • Coordinate with salespersons and other departments, locally and regionally, to address Structured Loan related queries and issues
  • Respond to requests and resolve any queries from internal and external sources
  • Exhibit proactivity to improve and streamline existing processes
  • Assist with project initiatives designed for automation with a view of minimizing manual processing
  • Other ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned by the Head of Department
Who are we looking for?
  • Degree holder, preferably in Business, Finance, or related disciplines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel functions
  • Keen interest and/or experience in developing automation or routines using Python and/or VBA will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks and issues in a time-pressured environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Positive and cooperative approach when working with others
  • Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants with at least 1 year of working experience in the Stock Broking/Finance/Banking industry are preferred
