About the World Broadband Association The World Broadband Association (WBBA) is a multilateral, industry-led association, providing leadership for digital broadband across the next decade. Our objective is to overcome industry challenges and support the drive towards the provision of broadband networks and services for all. With a goal of accelerating the healthy development of the industry, with sustainable benefits for stakeholders, end users, and society. Since it\xe2\x80\x99s official launch in June 2021, the WBBA has grown rapidly in terms of number of members and the delivery of a wide portfolio of research, event and digital media activities designed to raise brand awareness, increase influence and industry leadership and grow the membership. The initial success of the WBBA presents opportunities for further accelerated growth, both in terms of new member acquisition and delivery of value to existing members.


Project delivery
  • Focus on the overall running of the World Broadband Association (WBBA) engagement, for which Informa Tech provides secretariat services as well as research, events and digital media.
  • Provide day-to day management of the WBBA, managing the team workload and priorities, activity scope and quality to the agreed FY goals of the WBBA and specific activity metrics, but is also there to help alleviate problems/remove roadblocks experienced by the delivery team.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the Service Provider market, a sound knowledge of all major methodological disciplines, and experience of successful client interaction.
  • Manage other non-WBBA custom research deliverables, delivering projects to client satisfaction, utilising strong knowledge of the relevant market
  • Contribute to project delivery through the completion of project activity; delivers complex bids involving multiple deliverables and multiple analysts and leads or self delivers the final deliverable
  • Managing projects to the overall plan through a distributed team of analysts and consultants to ensure that they have clear objectives and project plans, and that the team collaborates well to achieve team goals. Escalates issues to Line Manager as required.
  • Project management skills \xe2\x80\x93 awareness of budget, timeline and programme delivery management.
Bid Management
  • Identify and support the successful conversion of commercial opportunities related to the growth and evolution of the WBBA engagement.
  • Work closely with the regional sales leads to develop new business.
  • Bid management: manage the proposal and bid stages of simple and complex solution bids.
  • Where necessary, manage third party sub-contractors, for example for primary research delivery
Business development
  • Leverage the compelling consulting proposition that builds on Informa Tech\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as a \xe2\x80\x9cindustry thought leader\xe2\x80\x9d to support the evolution and growth of the WBBA commercial relationship.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from across the Informa Tech brands to support the evolution and delivery of the WBBA proposition.
With the account management team, expand Informa Tech\xe2\x80\x99s presence in other key accounts by networking with research users and executives.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience within a relevant industry organisation / trade association, research house, management consultancy firm, or as a senior manager from the TMT industry.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the relevant industry dynamics and trends. Demonstrable experience in leading significant & varied projects and ongoing stakeholder engagement / development
  • Ability to work with many stakeholders, both internal and external (with particular focus on WBBA sponsors, members and prospects)
  • Be entrepreneurial, with a collaborative approach - bring fresh, exciting ideas for WBBA membership growth campaigns or new content/community initiatives, with the intent to grow members globally, as well as have proven ability to work cross functionally and synthesize feedback from teams such as marketing, content, sales etc.
  • Ability to manage WBBA team to timely, on-budget and high-quality delivery of FY23 goals.
  • Excellent and proven client management and expert communication skills
  • Experience in running multiple consulting projects at any given time
  • Experience in running a large-scale (>\xc2\xa3100,000) projects delivery
