[What the role is]
We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and inquisitive researcher to augment our research and surveillance programmes at the Environmental Health Institute. If you enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment, where your research is translated into evidence-based public health programmes and policies, we invite you to join us. You will work closely with a network of local and international collaborators to shape our public health landscape.
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a dynamic team which conducts operational research on vector-borne and environmentally related diseases in Singapore. The candidate is expected to conduct molecular biological work processes related to pathogen and vector genomics, their evolution and epidemic risk assessment. Your involvement will include the experimental design, execution, data analysis, reporting, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
As a member of the NEA/EHI family, you will have numerous opportunities for personal development, not only in science, but also in other areas such as leadership, management and communication. You will also have ample opportunities to work with the industry as well as international and local scientific experts.
