About the Team

The Global Privacy & Regulatory Affairs team handles and oversees legal privacy and regulatory matters pertaining to TikTok\'s global operations. The team works cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders in the US and around the world to tackle some of the most complex, interesting, and cutting edge issues in privacy and security. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced, and bright legal professionals to join our exciting team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead privacy analysis and assessments of the Company\'s products throughout development cycle to ensure compliance with local and global privacy and data protection laws;
• Assist in setting up or improving cross-functional Privacy Programs;
• Coordinate and drive cross-stakeholder alignment regarding implementation of privacy requirements and proposed remediations;
• Work with legal counsel, information security, and product teams to develop and implement global privacy standards;
• Proactively implement changes to product assessment process in anticipation of regulatory and business developments;
• Develop and implement operational improvements to improve effectiveness & efficiency of product assessment process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree;
• 5+ years work experience, including privacy or information security compliance;
• Experience, and more importantly personal interest, in technology, social network, internet, and all things digital is ideal;
• Experience with analyzing technology products to determine their compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as identifying and driving remediation actions (specific program management experience in privacy or security compliance preferred);
• Detail oriented and ability to coordinate across multiple teams/countries;
• Strong sense of problem solving and proactive work ethic;
• Determination to face tough challenges in a fast-paced environment while keeping a sense of humor;
• CIPP certification is a plus.
