General

Demonstrate and maintain exemplary discipline, conduct and performance in a professional manner. Requires performing all duties of Process Technician (PT) job group L6 and below. Encouraging and setting of exemplary conduct for good and harmonious teamwork. Ensures that all daily activities are carried out in accordance to instructions and operating procedures. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to supervisor on all matters.

Process

Has basic technical, operational and working knowledge of all process/utilities units. Possesses basic knowledge with ability to manage and control different types of utility and process failures. Ensures that plant operations meet production throughputs and quality. Has the minimum knowledge and simple understanding in operating the DCS. Adhere to work processes standards and comply to all guidelines. (ESP/Process Isolation/GMP/HACCP) Ensure that laboratory results are reviewed, validated and all required actions reported to Supervisors. Assist in shut down and start up any section of the plant in line with written procedures and instructions. Understands and has good knowledge of the operating manual, working instructions, ad-hoc procedures. Able to relate plant line up (field) together with an understanding in relation to pefs drawing. Understand PTW and Process Isolation requirements. Able to handover/takeover isolated equipment for / from maintenance. Understands LIMS system and collection of samples Be a certified forklift driver after attending practical lessons with relevant authorities.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Maintains a high standard of safety consciousness and all forms of environmental pollution awareness. Comply to all LSR/PSF. High awareness of safety consciousness among PTs and safe work practices among engineering and contractor personnel. To assist in carrying out emergency response plan in an emergency situation as instructed by PTL. Volunteer and train to be an Auxiliary Fire Fighter in response to the Emergency Response Plan. Possesses the knowledge to recognize any possible conflict of activities from happening and reports necessary actions and or preventive measures to the Supervisors.

Qualifications Required

  • Nitec / Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or related or Diploma, in Chemical Engineering / Chemical & Green Technology / Clean Energy
  • 1 or more years of relevant experience in chemical processing or oil refining / utilities e.g. steam boilers and Cogeneration for Process Units.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as we have a structured In-house training program
