Our client is a life sciences Real Estate platform that focuses on investing, acquiring, developing, constructing, managing, and operating real estate projects in fast-growing life sciences, innovation and R&D real estate markets in Asia-Pacific.They are looking for a Procurement & FM Director to join their team in Singapore.Job Summary: The Head of Procurement and Facilities Management will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities and managing the facilities of the company. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, and facilities operations, ideally within the life sciences/ industrial/ commercial real estate sector. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, as well as the optimal functioning of company facilities.Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the sourcing and negotiation of contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage the procurement budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Manage the RFP process: Develop, issue, and evaluate RFPs to ensure competitive and fair selection of vendors and suppliers.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring high-quality service and performance.
  • Facilities Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and operations of all company facilities, ensuring they meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement facilities management policies and procedures.
  • Manage facilities-related projects, including renovations and relocations.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for maintenance and repair services.
  • Ensure the efficient use of space and resources within the facilities.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor the procurement and facilities management teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and facilities management.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in supply chains or facilities operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the life sciences sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
