Position Summary:

Provide electrical lifecycle engineering support to manufacturing to satisfy the quality and yield requirements for existing products in a rapid growth environment.

Require skills for problem solving, testing, component life cycle management and improving electrical system in DNA sequencing instruments.

Responsibilities:

Support and drive activities in problem solving, failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action processes for EE components, PCA and high-level assemblies in instruments.

Apply various analysis techniques, such as FMEA and statistical analysis to optimize product quality and minimize cost, providing all calculations, performance data, and drawings required on existing products.

Plan and execute EE engineering change implementation activities including schematic update, PCB layout design change, component evaluation, material disposition, update work instructions and PCA test requirement changes.

Support Altium Vault management and component database management.

Documentation responsibilities include, but not limited to, generating detailed EE verification reports, EE drawings, Bill of Materials, assembly procedures and design verification and validation plans.

Work closely with contract manufacturing partners in meeting the quality target of the existing products, including PCAs and electro-mechanical components.

Provide guidance and recommendation to contract manufacturing partners to resolve board or sub-assemblies\xe2\x80\x99 issues.

Manage project includes creation and maintenance of detailed project plans and schedules, provide status reports, and make presentations to stakeholders.

Other such duties that may be determined by Management.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience engineering electrical, or electro-mechanical based products for commercial and industrial markets.

Good working knowledge and experience in electronics, PCBA manufacturing and testing and electro-mechanical systems is essential.

Product development experience in the life sciences, biotech, biomedical or nanotechnology industries is a plus.

Experience with Altium, ORCAD or other PCBA design tools.

Experience in application of problem-solving techniques such as 8D, FMEA, 5 Whys, cause and effect and brainstorming.

Good understanding and use of statistical engineering techniques, DOE, product and process capability analysis and risk assessment.

Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.

Good grasp of BOM (Bill-Of-Material) structuring fundamentals and have the ability to create ECOs (Engineering Change Order) and Deviations.

Demonstrated use and understanding of MRP systems, Product Data Management systems and Change Control processes. Teamcenter, SAP & PLM experiences will be added advantage.

Experience with FDA regulated medical device product development preferred.

Effective interpersonal and written communication skills and multi-tasking capabilities.

Good organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a team environment are essential.

Candidate must be able to work effectively across teams, interface well with the manufacturing and service organization.

Must be comfortable with a rapidly changing and fast-paced work environment.

Education:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or Master in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
