Job Description

The role is to lead a team of product managers, to work with the respective Insurers to develop a suite of products that are best in class in the market and are sufficiently differentiated to enable the growth aspirations of CPL in the area of Win in Wealth. One of the key priorities of this role is to drive digital insurance engagement within Citi's cards customers, which include to delivering and implementing best in class digital insurance value propositions for our customers. The role will also encompass to drive Business to adopt a mobile first strategy for Insurance as well as to drive progression on the insurance push pull industrialization. With the industralisation and commericalisation of digital insurance, this role will be responsbile for delivering customer-driven product solutions, enhancements and management that deliver and exceed CPL insurance targets. This role will also be the lead role to drive the Citi-AIA pull based strategy in Health and Wellness proposition for CPL. In addition, this role will also need to focus on the adherence to the highest standards of both external and internal risk and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as exercise control over resources, policy formation, and planning
  • Utilize specialty knowledge to review, analyze, and develop beyond existing solutions
  • Develop plans and execute functional strategies for large/complex country, or business requiring coordination and integration across units, as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within region/business
  • Ensure solid partnerships and cross selling opportunities across credit cards and insurance to deliver comprehensive services and solutions for our clients
  • Establish and maintain relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance
  • Partner with other regional and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve substantial growth targets for the business
  • Engage in internal and external negotiations
  • Work with insurers to curate a range of products that are suitable for credit cards customer.
  • Utilizing the Digital Channels to improve insurance sales acquisition
  • Reporting in the various business governance forums
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:

10 years of relevant experience in Banking and Insurance * Experience managing in a large, complex and matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the industry, banking, and insurance products
  • Practical experience of multiple business cycles
  • Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services
  • Working knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the business as well as a solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience with a major in insurance is preferred
