LocationSingapore The Regional Product Management team at Shopee is the key focal point between the business, engineering and design teams. The team is responsible for implementing strategy, road maps and features, while adhering to business goals. It covers all functions including but not limited to Financial Services, Supply Chain, Search, Recommendation, Advertising, Order, Promotion, User, Anti-Fraud, Seller Service. About the Team:
At Shopee Search & Recommendation, we connect users to what they may want at scale. As a pillar of e-commerce discovery experience, our products leverage state of the art machine learning solutions and data science techniques to enable tens of millions of users to discover relevant and interesting things among hundreds of millions of products and contents available on Shopee. We are a passionate, young, and diverse team, committed to creating a convenient, delightful, and intelligent discovery experience for our users. We are looking for an experienced candidate who is or has the potential to be an expert in Search to join us. Leadership positions are available for candidates with e-commerce search expertise.
:

  • Build comprehensive understanding of Search products on user scenarios, business value, technical feasibility and Search strategy.
  • Own Search products end to end from frontend UX to backend strategy, and from conception to release.
  • Drive development of machine learning solutions for core search algorithms in query understanding, ranking strategies, Natural Language Processing, and listing quality.
  • Design experiments to iterate and develop new and existing features.
  • Use data to understand customer behaviour and performance of features, and be data-driven in estimating size of impact and determining prioritisation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders from Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Operations to bring ideas to life.
  • Participate actively in the roadmapping and prioritisation of major R&D components.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management. Search, e-commerce, O2O, or top tech company experience is a plus.
  • Domain knowledge in Search, and experience in a big data environment interacting directly with data scientists and/or machine learning engineers is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related applied quantitative field.
  • Have a track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  • Result-oriented, self-starting, and has a strong sense of ownership.
  • Robust quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills and strong logical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Outstanding design thinking, significant creativity, good business sense and strategies.
  • Able to adapt to changes.
  • Open to receiving and giving feedback.
  • Willing to try new things.
