The product manager drives the development of PRUShield products. This role also supports the Head (Savings, ILP & Shield) by providing insightful solutions to the development of PRUShield products around the region.

This role is also expected to support Savings, ILP & Shield business through either conducting or lead in providing market intelligence, customer insights through research studies for the purpose of product feasibility study and contributing to strategic market and business planning.

The product manager is responsible for product design, implementation,
product launch and post-launch.

• The product design stage will include competitive analysis against similar products in the market, as well as researching for similar products in the region. In instances where there is limited product information available, product manager will need to engage reinsurance for experience sharing. The product manager may have to review regulatory guidelines and/or engage the regulators (eg MOH) to ensure that the proposed product design does not contravene with any guidelines.
• The implementation stage will include engaging the Product Development Team (PDT \xe2\x80\x93 a team made up of members from all departments who will be involved in the product launch) to ensure that systems are ready for the launch. During the implementation stage, the product manager is also responsible for preparing documents for the Product Committee Team (PCT \xe2\x80\x93 a team made up of the company\xe2\x80\x99s EXCO members) for product approval, and subsequently the regional office (PCA).
• During the launch stage, the product manager is responsible to ensure that all marketing collaterals (e.g. brochures, product pack, website, etc.) and any launch communications are ready.
• During the post-launch stage, the product manager needs to track the sales performance of the products, as well as conduct post-mortem to analyse what went well, and what could have been improved. In addition, the product manager is responsible for the first few sessions of product training. The product manager will also be responsible for response to any media queries.

The product manager is also responsible for \xe2\x80\x9ckeeping in touch with the ground\xe2\x80\x9d by engaging the distribution channels on a regular basis to share our latest product developments, as well as to obtain feedbacks.

Who we are looking for:
Working Experience

• 3-5 years of life insurance, preferably with experience in Integrated Shield
• Familiarity with the Integrated Shield guidelines and LIA guidelines for medical and group products would be an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand complex life insurance product levers
• Ability to independently complete basic and moderately complex projects/studies
• Prior experience with sales tracking, illustration software, financial analysis, competitive analysis, distribution surveys is helpful.
• Good spoken and written communication as well as articulate interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a team effectively while managing tight timelines, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Professional Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing / Finance / Economics / Business Administration or related discipline
