Job Description


As a Specialist, the Product Manager:

  • Partners with Investment Management to create and update marketing presentations, fact sheets, product brochures and other materials to support AB’s Asia equity products
  • Partners with Distribution and Business Development teams to adjust messaging to facilitate the promotion and sales of the Asia equity products
  • Participates in the regular portfolio review meetings with the portfolio management and research team
  • Monitors and analyzes the competitive positioning of products and provides detailed competitive analysis
  • Provides regular product updates on performance, attribution, market outlook and positioning
  • Assists in the maintenance of equity data for the Asia equity products (i.e., assets, personnel, etc.)
  • Works with internal departments, both in Singapore and overseas, to provide data and information on the Asia equity products to meet requirements associated with regular reporting and ad-hoc requests.

As an Advocate for other priority products, the Product Manager:
  • Localizes global content for the Asia retail audience
  • Works with regional Business Development Heads and Marketing Directors to help build out local marketing programs
  • Facilitates communication between overseas portfolio managers (PMs) and the regional distribution team by assisting with product update calls and PM visits.

As a Leader, the Product Manager:
  • Overseas the work of other Managers based in the region
  • Coaches junior team members on how to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively
  • Plays a critical role in regional and/or global Product Management initiatives
  • Plays a critical role in establishing the business case for new products during the product development process
  • Participates in the Asia Cross-Business Development Committee
  • Is a member of the Asia Visitor Management team, which is responsible for coordinating the schedules for all visitors to the region—including PMs, partners and C-level management.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to read/write/speak in English and Chinese
  • 5-7 years of finance experience
  • Knowledge of equity markets
  • Degree holder and CFA preferred but not mandatory
  • Desire to one day manage individuals
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with high attention-to-detail
  • Creative and proactive individual
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, presence and maturity
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
