The Role

As a Product Owner at Refract Technologies, you\xe2\x80\x99ll hop into the driver\xe2\x80\x99s seat - defining the overall vision and direction for our suite of Full Body Motion Capture product portfolio. As part of your role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll establish a strategic roadmap that aligns with and fulfils the overall business objectives.

Crucially, you\xe2\x80\x99ll put the \xe2\x80\x9ccross\xe2\x80\x9d in cross-functional, serving as the interface and coordinating our different teams - from marketing, development, business and more.

Our ideal candidate is someone who\xe2\x80\x99s had a few successful bouts pushing a tech-based product through its entire lifecycle, and able to look ahead of what\xe2\x80\x99s in front of them. If this sounds like you, we\xe2\x80\x99d love to have a chat!

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

• Serve as the central conduit, driver and point of collaboration for all matters related to our Full Body Motion Capture product portfolio.
• Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the overall business strategy and goals of the company.
• Maintain a deep and continuous understanding of the various perspectives required to drive and inform decisions on the product development and direction through:

• 360\xc2\xb0 requirement gathering from intensive interfacing with stakeholders, internal teams and customers.
• Creating user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, defining clear and actionable tasks for implementation.
• Market analysis, trend monitoring and competitor/industry research.
• Customer engagement and feedback collection.
• Employ your gained insight and experience to prioritise product features and backlog items based on business value, customer feedback and market demand
• Project-manage the entirety of the product development cycle, ensuring a high level of project documentation, resource and budget allocation, and collaboration with our internal cross-functional teams.
• Arrange frequent product demos as checkpoints for stakeholder feedback on features, iterating based on sentiments gathered.
• Coordinate the product release process, including feature testing, documentation updates, and deployment planning with the goal of a smooth overall product release.
• Routinely communicate product progress, updates and changes to stakeholders, leadership and internal development teams.
• Any ad-hoc project management tasks as necessary.

• An excellent multi-faceted written and verbal communicator, who can clearly articulate ideas and information to stakeholders both at a highly technical and business level.
• A high level of social awareness, and people skills - able to manoeuvre professionally within different environments.
• Meticulous and voracious working attitude, self-directed in driving consistent results and improvements.
• Excellent level of self-organisation, and management of others - able to prioritise and multitask effectively.
• Savvy, resourceful, and adept at laying project management groundwork essentials across a range of productivity tools.
• A leader, not purely by the way of authority or hierarchy.

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or a related field such as Product Design, Development etc.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in driving end-to-end tech-based product development, with a proven track record of bringing a product from conception to market successfully.
• Deep understanding and experience in a similar role within the technology or gaming space.
• Experience working within an Agile environment, and utilising Scrum project management processes.
• Proven leadership experience of a product team through multiple phases.
• Strong analytical skills, able to rampantly collect, assess and derive directives from data to make decisions.

• Have worked or have in-depth knowledge of products involving motion capture technology, or gaming/entertainment hardware or software.
• Startup experience.
