Production Supervisor:Establishes functional business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short- and long- term goals of the production organization. Manages employees and/or production departments in various manufacturing or product development support departments.Supervises process, skilled and/ or technical manufacturing employees responsible for routine tasks. Assigns, directs implementation of tasks and processes. Establishes, maintains department business controls and processes. Supervisor II:Available to Asia Pacific only - mega manufacturing sites may have up to two levels of Supervisor - local/ regional/global Compensation team will assist with the definition of Supervisor II discipline, based on local market conditions. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Involve in the planning, directing and coordinating the operations of production; establishing priorities & monitor the progress.
  • Ensure good quality products are built in compliance with Agilent specification and ISO Standards.
  • Ensure monthly build and ship target meeting plan,
  • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives and drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics.
  • Work with Planner/Buyer to solve the assurance of supply/quality issue and change process to produce greater result.
  • Identify all issues in team and provide continuous support according to operating standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective relations within the team and with cross functional team of the organization.
  • Accountable for the assignment and performance of subordinates, temporary staff as well as the work output of supervised operators.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, appraising job results; coaching, counseling, developing personal growth opportunities and disciplining employees.
  • Promote individual development and continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Drive production team continuous improvement culture for 5S, Mistake Proof, Kaizen, CI related program.
  • Drive production improvement project.
  • Ensure optimum production WIP inventory for continuous flow and meeting financial inventory commitment.
  • Ensure successful production setup for NPI project.
  • Performs other related duties as directed or assigned.


  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Preferably at least 4 years with supervisory/management experience leading/managing production operators and technicians.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and respond to varied and changing demands focusing on continuous improvement for customer needs.
  • Disciplined self-accountable, initiative to start projects in line with team’s objectives and demonstrated high proficiency in managing multiple projects to be completed on time.
  • Requires strong passion in people, to lead and influence for positive change to deliver consistent business result.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for working across departments, clearly and concisely deliver instructions to the production team. Must also be able to deal with team-management issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills along with solid understanding of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, able to spot problems within the manufacturing process quickly and take appropriate action to rectify.
  • Requires strong management skill and ability to design and execute processes, projects and tactics.
  • Strong in time management to ensure production team is working in the most time-efficient way and with the least downtime possible.
  • Decision making abilities to make decisions quickly, under pressure, after careful assessment of all available information.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Industrial Engineering, SAP and SQL Programming would be a plus
