Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.

Required Experience & Competencies

At least 4 years of experience in IT support within the banking sector, with hands-on exposure to internet and mobile banking applications. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment; adaptable and capable of managing time efficiently. Demonstrated ability to operate with a sense of urgency, manage multiple deadlines, and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision. Experience providing Level 2 / Level 3 support in a high-availability, mission-critical production environment. Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.

Technical Skills & Expertise

3-4 years of experience with distributed technologies such as AIX, MQ, Java, RDBMS, and Connect:Direct. Over 2 years of experience supporting native iOS and Android applications in large-scale production environments. Experience maintaining OpenShift environments, container-native applications, and microservices architecture. At least 2 years of experience managing or supporting OpenShift or Kubernetes infrastructure. Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, and cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware vSphere, and AWS. Proficient in managing container platform ecosystems and reviewing platform changes (e.g., OpenShift upgrades, hotfixes). Ability to integrate multi-functional applications into container-based support services. Active participation in all phases of the development lifecycle within a collaborative team environment. Skilled in troubleshooting software issues and documenting findings. Capable of reviewing and providing feedback on technical documentation. Experience handling incident troubleshooting, coordinating with development teams for timely resolution. Proficient in managing support tickets using tools like Remedy, Confluence, and JIRA. Hands-on experience in scripting, debugging code, and writing database queries. Familiar with software engineering principles and change management processes. Solid understanding of system resiliency and redundancy design. * Knowledge of interfaces and messaging systems.
