The APAC Program Director provides leadership and project governance to a team of project managers for successful program/project delivery which meets project goals or business transformation objectiv The APAC Program Director provides leadership and project governance to a team of project managers for successful program/project delivery which meets project goals or business transformation objectives. He oversees the work of Project Managers and provides strategic recommendation to enhance the success of the program. Responsibilities Project Management Governance Establish the PMO role and operating model Set standards for project management capabilities, certifications and qualifications for Project Managers, success measurement criteria, methodologies, tools to be used, etc. Create a Centre of Excellence' to nurture project management practitioners and share knowledge of industry best practices. 2. Project Management Team Leadership Establish the PMO organization structure, hiring and managing staffing requirements Oversee the delegation of work to Project Managers and Subject Matter experts Set annual performance targets for individuals and the team and conduct performance reviews. 3. Projects Monitoring & Reporting Summarize and report overall program status progress to executive sponsors and steering committee with clear indication of issues, risks and dependencies. He is required to articulate mitigations, resolutions plans and drive path forward for high level work items. Escalates decisions to executive sponsors as necessary Work with service delivery leaders to take corrective action as needed Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget Desired Skills, Competencies and Personal Traits Minimum of 10 years running mid to large size projects Expert-level knowledge of program, project and change management, associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches Display strategic thinking capabilities, with abilities to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers and vendor groups. Ability to identify problem and effective in problem resolution. Resilience and resourcefulness Budgeting management skills Experienced with SAP S/4 Sales & Manufacturing, CRM, Business Transformation, Change Management Educational Qualifications Degree in Business, Information Technology or equivalent
