Job Description

  • BA/BS degree in a discipline that requires problem-solving, typically Engineering, Physics, Finance, Business or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of Operations/Supply Chain experience, e.g., procurement, operations management, logistics, process improvement, operations, finance
  • 5+ years of experience using Excel and/or other data analysis tools.
Job summary
The AWS Asia-Pacific (APAC) Data Center Planning Team is searching for a passionate and talented Program Manager to implement and improve planning processes that will be used across APAC infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for reducing defects and improving cycle time associated with current planning processes. You will work across the AWS Organization to align process inputs, partner with global teams to improve related business intelligence tooling, and work across APAC Data Center Planning and Delivery organization to support and implement processes.

Key job responsibilities
Coordinate with organization-wide stakeholders, such as finance, capacity delivery, and forecasting teams, to establish schedules for regularly updating the APAC data center delivery plans.
Establish, maintain, and drive communication channels, such as wikis and office hours, to keep stakeholders engaged with the planning process. This may include schedules, process maps, taxonomies, and tools developed to support the planning process.
Perform ongoing retrospectives to incrementally improve planning processes and tools based on customer feedback and needs.
Support APAC data center planning execution processes to determine procurement and delivery plans for the region.
Recommend and drive forward automation
  • Experience developing, improving and implementing processes and providing support for core technical solutions in a large-scale, complex environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience presenting to senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data (including SQL) and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom.
