RESPONSIBILITIES
The Programme Development Officer is responsible for the planning, designing, coordination of activities and programmes promote the active participation, meaningful engagement and learning of clients at the Centre. He / she will work in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Allied Health Professionals such as the Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, physiotherapist, and / or Speech Language Therapist, and Training Officers when designing the programmes.
Programmes and activities are planned with the principle of life-long learning in mind, with the belief that Persons with Intellectual Disability are capable of learning skills that promote their physical, social and emotional well-being, independent living skills, and community living skills throughout their life.
Assist in driving the Life-Long Learning (LLP) Curriculum designed in collaboration with MINDS Institute, working with the AHPs and Training Officers in implementing the training for clients.
Create & manage a resource library of programme activities, resource materials / tools (physical and online platforms) that can be shared and replicated across MINDS.
Work with like-minded community partners, including caregivers and volunteers to support the running of programmes in the centre.
Participate in activities within, or outside MINDS that has an interest in sharing of knowledge, experience and best practices in terms of programme / curriculum planning, e.g. Community of Practice, and in turn assist to share these learnings with fellow colleagues, explore the implementation of some of these practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or Community Services or related fields with at least 2 years working experience.

Experienced Training Officers or Teaching Aides with an interest in Programme / Curriculum planning preferred
A strong team-player with excellent people skills.
Possesses strong organisation skills, time management and problem-solving skills.
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
A self-motivated and adaptable individual.
Ability to work well both independently & in a team with integrity, sensitivity, knowledge and drive to support & advocate for their clients with intellectual disability.
