Job Description


The Project and Compliance Manger,reporting to the HeadMaster, will be offered the exciting opportunity to manage a wide variety of school improvement focused activities that may include but not limited to undertaking education-focused projects development and implementation, general compliance operations, accreditations & certifications acquisition and any other assigned projects to better the operating efficiencies of school operations.

The Project and Compliance Manager must effectively manage project teams and projects at varying stages of development. This position requires excellent time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. We are looking for an individual who reliable, engaged, and flexible; someone who embraces collaboration, holds themselves accountable, takes initiative and ownership over tasks, and is a critical thinker who can make informed decisions. A suitable incumbent for the position will anticipate assuming the following responsibilities.

Project Management:

  • Take lead and delivery of various workstreams/task force projects assigned
  • Craft proposals and responsible for developing project management plans and the day-to-day management of project activities and deliverables, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, implementation, fieldwork, direct stakeholder engagement, and regulatory reporting
  • Provide regular status updates and escalate potential issues to management and key stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Develops and fosters strong working relationships with key stakeholders that enables efficient and effective cross-departmental collaboration

General Compliance:
  • Policy creation, revision and establishing protocols to ensure all procedures that govern regulatory compliance are up to date, effective and well-known amongst the teaching and support community
  • Document and maintain a Compliance Program that, with consultation from Brighton College (Singapore) Senior Leadership Team, meets the laws and regulations applicable to school and any new programs developed and operationalised by the school
  • Develop a working knowledge amongst the teaching and support community of all areas of compliance applicable to the school (including but not limited to CPE laws and regulations)
  • Maintain a centralised e-filing system within which to maintain compliance documents
  • Perform data gathering and document production associated with meeting the requirements of compliance, including but not limited to, responsibility for CPE student contract/addendum, CPE’s Enhanced Regulatory Framework (ERF) on Premises, Courses and Modules, Teachers Registration, Academic and Examination Board, Managers and Annual Returns, CPE’s EduTrust Years 1 & 3 desktop submissions, Year 2 interim site inspections and Year 4 Renewal Site Inspection, CIS self-study, WASC documentation, implementation and maintenance
  • Provide assistance to auditors and/or inspectors in compliance reviews either onsite or through submissions
  • Assist in the development of compliance-related policies and procedures from time to time.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures relating to compliance have been appropriately approved and documented within the school.
  • Assist in corrective action in response to external compliance investigations and review findings
  • As an active member of the Health & Safety Committee, to participate meetings and matters related to ensuring the safety management system and initiatives of the school that includes but not limited to performing compliance audits and risk assessments, respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions

You Must Have
  • Minimally Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 -7 years of relevant experience, preferably in local private education industry
  • Proven successful project management with Internal audit experience will be advantageous
  • Functional knowledge of CPE compliance and regulatory resources and issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and to assess and diffuse confrontational situations
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work, able to manage high volume workflow and deadlines
  • Team player, who works with enthusiasm and energy
  • Excellent English (native) spoken and written language skills.
  • High level of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible schedule, including occasional evenings & selectweekends

Technical skills
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word & Excel
  • Experience of working with databases
