Short Description

The Special Project team at NUS University Campus Infrastructure shall respond to new design and sustainability initiatives undertaken at University level and ensure support to the overall campus vision for high-quality infrastructure upholding sustainability leadership and design excellence in all campus buildings. It is envisioned as a supporting design hub for key developments in NUS such as SDE4, SDE13, YIH, Site B and alike, therefore enhancing the University international visibility for its sustainability and design leadership.

This role will support key campus projects for high-performance and sustainability objectives towards the NUS 2030 Carbon neutral target.



Collaborate with the UCI Special Projects' team at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the development of concept design, design details, drawings and related documentation for high-performance buildings as well as campus-wide support on sustainable development.

  • Support the team in the definition of project's goals, targets and aspirations (aspirational and strategic brief);
  • Support process and project management from brief development to concept design, schematic design, design development, construction and operation;
  • Lead development of concept design and design details in coordination with Special Projects team for adaptive re-use projects in NUS;
  • Review of all architectural and interior-related drawings, specs, samples and mock-ups (finishes, loose and built-in furniture, faaade mock-ups etc.)
  • Construction management and quality control (site walk, technical meetings etc.);
  • Coordination among users, consultants, contractors and vendors (users' meetings, workshops, charrettes, sign-offs and technical meetings);
  • Support supervision of WELL and Green Mark (GM) certifications including compliance with Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification;
  • Support for conferences, visiting delegations, opening ceremonies and other events;
  • Marketing communication and branding collaterals (support production of all buildings-related communications and branding collaterals including PR campaigns, brochures, videos, graphics, presentations, press release, PR campaign);
  • Support Research-based Design collaborations between UCI and University schools.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of industry experience in architecture and related.
  • Master and/or Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
  • Proficiency with design software such as Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Sketchup etc.
  • Very good architectural design skills.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Good proficiency in English.
  • GM and /or WELL, LEED AP is a plus.
