Job Description

Our client is a well-established MNC, market leader in the Engineering industry. They are looking for a Project Engineer to assist their Engineering team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in Central – easily accessible. This Project Engineer would be responsible for :

• Responsible in liaising with client/contractor/sub-contractors on project related matters to ensure to smooth execution of site work.
• Responsible in liaising with suppliers and sub-subcontractors for arrangement of materials, equipment, tools and other sub-contracting work activities
• Responsible in ensuring the installation works are done according to approved shop drawings, method statements, Project Quality Plan, Project Specifications and relevant standards
• Responsible in assisting Site / Project Manager in handling and monitoring the project progress
• Responsible in involving in conceptual and detailed design of electrical / instrumentation engineering works
• Responsible in ensuring that only current version of documents (contract specifications, electrical and instrumentation drawings, materials submittal, method statement and risk assessment) are accessible at the point of use
• Responsible in reviewing and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements
• Responsible in attending regular site meetings with client/contractors/sub-contractors on project related matters
• Responsible in preparing and submiting site progress report and necessary project documents which may include progress claim, variation order, method statement, risk assessment and inspection request
• Responsible in reviewing the nature of non-conformities detected in product / work and determine the disposition of the non -conformities
• Responsible in conducting site survey, update and advise the site status
• Responsible in assisting in validation (certification) of subcontractor progress claim
• Responsible in resolving technical issues related to installation, commissioning and testing
• Responsible in assisting in tender administration work, if require
• Responsible in assisting in timely hand-over (delivery) of project, within budget while maintaining high quality standard at optimum cost (cost effectiveness)
• Responsible in preparing project Quality Plan if require
• Responsible in preparing the bill of material and keep it updated regularly
• Responsible in raising the purchase requisition for the material and services required at project site
• Responsible in following up with suppliers and timely delivery of material in line with project schedule.

Requirement

• Minimum Diploma in engineering or relevant studies
• Prior 2-3 years of Project management experience
• Prior experience with construction industry is a bonus
• Prior experience with BIM/ Autocad is a bonus
