The Storage Test Unit of Teradyne has a need for a Project Manager. The position is at the company’s Cebu office located in the Philippines. We’re looking for a veteran project manager with a design engineering background that can drive projects and work with a global team. The candidate must be able to energize, organize, and direct all team players. They must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and be capable of quickly adapting to changes of the rapidly growing business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organize and execute Storage Test product improvement projects following the Storage Test project management processes
• Present to headquarter based management on project requirements, schedule, costs, risks, and escalations
• Interface with local and field teams to understand product challenges and develop proposals for product improvement projects and present them to management as a funnel for new efforts
• Interface with headquarter based core teams to understand and develop project plans for customer driven product improvement projects
• Execute Storage Test PM group functional goals and develop proposals for future functional goals
• Work and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software design teams to develop project tasks and keep project plan on course
• Work with operations functions to ensure Work closely with Purchasing to make sure that the materials are adequately met in a timely manner
• Develop and present quarterly product line project updates for Steering Committee review
• Schedule and hold project meetings, setting the agendas and distributing the meeting notes
• Develop and present weekly to biweekly product line project updates for Core Team review
  

Basic Qualifications, Education & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with experience in that skill to an intermediate level
• Experience leading multiple projects with cross functional contributors (HW, SW, Mech, Automation, Operations, Field Service) that are not all collocated
• In-depth understanding of traditional project management principles and practices
• Problem solving and conflict resolution ability
• Experience in presenting program risks with mitigation plans and working through them during the project development
• Outstanding organization and planning skills
• Willing to travel
