DRL SYS PROJECT MANAGER
Job Summary
The Project Manager will plan, organize, direct and lead major projects to produce the desired results within time, cost and quality.
Responsible for implementing client requirements.
Comprehends contractual conditions and specifications and looks for commercial and technical cost savings.
Ensures resources are deployed where applicable.
Communicates with other managers to ensure accurate information is made available at all times to facilitate effective decision-making. Identifies problem areas, evaluates and initiates corrective action, monitors and reschedules the project schedule with respect of time and required resources.
Negotiates variation orders.
Maintains a record of all communications related to the project. Develops and presents financial performance reports and project P&L statements.
Coordinates the activities of functional departments to support projects.
Monitors project performance against an agreed plan and budget, and initiates corrective action where appropriate to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Identifies and records changes to the project scope of supply and negotiates variation orders for customer driven changes.
Creates a project schedule and maintains for the duration of the project.
Maintains action items registers for the project.
Advises plants on invoicing for milestone payments at attainment and maintains the schedule for milestone payment invoicing.
Creation of quotations and P&L for repair work, launching of sales orders to drive the repair work.
Creates revenue forecast documents for the duration of the project.
Provides internal project reporting by using monthly dashboards, and quarterly project reviews as needed.
Provides external project reporting as defined by the customer in project specifications.
To perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience of project management preferable gained in heavy engineering or the oilfield industry.
