Job title - Project Manager

About the Role

Siemens Energy is looking for a Project Manager to manage EPC projects such as E-Houses, compression and power gen projects in Module business. As a PM, you will be responsible and accountable for the successful execution of projects, from project initiation through final closeout. You will work in a matrix style organization requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Position will be in Singapore within Module operations group. As a customer facing team, we keep customer satisfaction at the forefront as we manage large projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Executing the project in line with the Target Agreement (e.g., cost, time, functionality).
  • Management of the E-house and other EPC projects (On shore and off shore) during offer / order stage as well as close coordination with technical leads and experts from the factories, vendors, and other fields of expertise.
  • Ensure project controls are established throughout the project in line with PM@SE & Business Management Systems.
  • Direct, lead and motivate the Project Team for successful project execution.
  • Ensure work packages and targets are set for the project team to improve project delivery and profitability.
  • Understand the contract and pursue opportunities to facilitate change, increase revenue and reduce / mitigate risks to Improve financial performance.
  • Ensure regular risk & opportunity review are conducted with the project team.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental audits and inspections are carried out with schedules in place.
  • Monitor and control third parties to deliver services to meet the contract requirements.
  • Ensuring timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
  • Responsible for preparing Monthly Progress Reports on the assigned project for internal reporting & customer reporting.
  • Supporting team member development needs in consultation with the Line Manager.
  • Responsibility for planning, monitoring, and controlling the offer / order processing including technical conception, delimitation of the scope of delivery, scheduling / resource planning, costing, calculation, quality control as well as management of opportunities and risks.
  • Responsible for snag / defect clearance, and preparation of handover documentation.
  • Be flexible to travel to customer location, Vendor facilities and internal factories.
Skills & qualifications
  • University degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the areas of E-houses, compression, and power generation modules and FPSOs - with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in delivery of large EPC projects within the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Demonstrable evidence of successful project delivery managing up to 10 staff
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Contractual issues, and of Conflict Management
  • Knowledge of Risk / Opportunity Management processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external Customers
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineering, procurement, service, and logistics
