Job Description

What the role is:

The job holder will oversee research and evaluation efforts to support the Bureau\'s objectives by developing programmes and regimes effective in preventive drug education and reducing recidivism.

What you will be working on:

• Conduct research related to drugs and crime to inform the development of evidence-based preventive and upstream drug intervention \xe2\x80\xa2 Conceptualize, plan and execute evaluation-related activities and services o Coordinate with other CNB divisions and HTDs on the various aspects of evaluation projects o Develop and adopt sound logic models for programme evaluation o Conduct evaluation through the observation of implemented programmes and regimes and use of appropriate evidence-based tools \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicate evaluation findings to stakeholders o Provide recommendations based on evaluation findings and research to enhance the Bureau\'s programmes and regimes \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct risk assessments on first-time youth drug abusers to determine their programme placement \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct assessments for staff selection purposes o Interpret psychometric profiles and conduct clinical interviews on job applicants \xe2\x80\xa2 Support efforts in mental resilience and mental well-being in the Bureau o Provide support for critical incidents o Provide counselling services to staff \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other tasks as assigned by Principal Psychologist

What we are looking for:

• Minimum Degree with good honours in Psychology o Relevant experience or knowledge in evaluation and implementation science would be an advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in research processes and the use of statistical analysis tools (e.g. SPSS) \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good organisational skills and strategic thinking \xe2\x80\xa2 Pro-active and able to make decisions independently under pressure We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified for the interview.
