Job Description





Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital is a charitable organisation established to provide healthcare
services to the needy in Singapore regardless of race, language or religion. Our vision is
to be a leading community healthcare hub in Singapore.

We provide a continuum of care ranging from in-patient, rehabilitation therapy and
Traditional Chinese Medicine services. We invite dynamic individual to join us as:



PURCHASING ASSISTANT



Responsibilities:
\xef\x82\xb7
Liaise with vendors for any product update (e.g. change in specifications, quantity). \xef\x82\xb7
Negotiate with vendors for best pricing of goods/services. \xef\x82\xb7
Ensure Purchase Requisition (PR) received are correctly filled up, approved & signed by respective parties (e.g. HOD & Departmental Director) \xef\x82\xb7
Generation of Purchase Order (PO) using online system based on submitted approved documents (quotation, approved PR & supporting documents like email
request, if any \xef\x82\xb7 Ensure the right type, quality & quantity of goods are delivered \xef\x82\xb7
Ensure post purchasing procedures are followed through e.g. DO & Invoices are certified by relevant parties & goods receiving correctly done inside online system. \xef\x82\xb7
Work with internal stakeholders to define key requirements for the various product and service categories. \xef\x82\xb7
Ensure that all purchase made are properly authorized and conform to quality specifications and standards and in accordance to project budget if any. \xef\x82\xb7
Communicate and negotiate with the vendors in order to obtain products and services of the best quality for the best value. \xef\x82\xb7
Develop and deliver procurement strategy to achieve target benefits and financial savings. \xef\x82\xb7
Work on projects to improve efficiency & productivity of MMD. \xef\x82\xb7
Any other duties assigned.


Requirements:
\xef\x82\xb7
Minimum GCE \'N\' / \'O\' levels / Diploma. \xef\x82\xb7
At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience. \xef\x82\xb7
Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines. \xef\x82\xb7
Good planning and organization skills. \xef\x82\xb7
Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills. \xef\x82\xb7
Work experience in healthcare will be added advantage.
