Responsibilities

Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors from China. Manage and administer supplier contracts from China, including renewals and renegotiations. Liaise with operations and warehouse teams on material requirements, inventory checks, and inspections. Track and monitor purchase requests, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. Verify procurement documents such as POs, DOs, and invoices, and coordinate with Finance on payments. Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance. Support cost control efforts and perform cost analysis. Assist in tender submissions with pricing and sourcing data. Attend customer meetings, supplier fairs, and vendor visits. Ensure compliance with internal policies and project specifications. Identify alternative materials or suppliers when required.

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in both English and Chinese as the incumbent is required to be able to place orders on Chinese webpages, understand Chinese invoices and communicate with Chinese suppliers. Excellent negotiation skills, great interpersonal skill, independent, organized with positive work attitude. Strong analytical skill. Highly organized and has excellent time management skills. Any education background or work experience in procurement or business management will be an added advantage. Any experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage as well.
