Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be required to provide quality assurance support to Underwriting Services. You will get the opportunity to work closely with Finance, Compliance, and Business Transformation teams as well as internal and external auditors, to ensure services delivered are with high quality standard. You will also act as an SME by responding to service matters and coordinating with the appropriate business partner for resolution.Responsibilities:

• Providing support to Underwriting Assistant / Policy Admin cross checks in the areas of underwriting operations, procedures and policies.
• Conducting sampling check to ensure services delivered follow the correct protocols, such as sanction checks, ZHorizon updates, premium bookings etc.
• Generating data quality reports including but not limited to ZHorizon, MIA, SIS and IPS booking difference to share and follow up with responsible teams.
• Providing support to ICFR for Underwriting Services.
• Liaising with internal and external auditors for annual or ad hoc quality assurance testing and audit.
• Conducting induction and training to new joiners and team members.
• Providing support to prepare or review training manuals for both onshore and offshore teams.
• Working with Underwriting Services team leads to plan cross-training and back-up support for the team to ensure good quality of service delivery.
• Being ready to step in and support LoB as an Underwriting Assistant incl. sanction checks, invoice & certificate issuance as well as policy wording draft etc.
• Handling any other tasks required by line manager.

Qualification:

• Diploma holder
• Prior experience working in an insurance/reinsurance company
• Knowledge of line of business
• Experience in underwriting support functions, data entry and policy admin
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
• Detail and careful
• Pro-active and \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Team player
