Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Employee shall report to the Manager or Supervisor. The Employee's primary responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor include, but are not limited to:
a. Cost Management and Estimation
Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
Evaluate and assess project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value engineering.
Monitor project expenditure against budgets and report variances.
b. Contract Administration
Assist in the preparation and management of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and project specifications.
Administer variations, claims, and change orders in accordance with contract requirements.
c. Project Monitoring and Reporting
Track project progress and prepare regular progress reports.
Identify potential risks, delays, or cost overruns and propose mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical, contractual, or financial issues.
d. Procurement Support
Assist in sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, and evaluating suppliers.
Provide input on material selection and procurement planning to optimize project costs.
e. Documentation and Record-Keeping
Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and correspondence.
Prepare reports for management review and audit purposes.
f. Technical Drawings and Design Coordination
Prepare and revise technical drawings for construction, interior fit-out, and furniture/product fabrication using AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Works, or equivalent software.
Interpret architectural, structural, M&E, and interior design plans into detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings.
Draft and compile construction details, layout plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), joinery/carpentry drawings, and assembly diagrams.
Liaise with project teams, including engineers, architects, interior designers, and fabrication workshops.
Ensure drawing standards meet Singapore building codes (e.g., BCA regulations) and manufacturing standards (e.g., ISO/ASME).
Conduct on-site measurements and prepare as-built drawings when required.
Coordinate with external contractors and internal project managers to ensure accurate and timely submission of drawing packages.
Assist in preparing 3D perspectives, basic renders, and presentation boards as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Min Degree in Building Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Proficient in AUTOCAD & EXCEL
