Euromonitor Singapore TG team manages a large portfolio of clients across ASEAN in the Trade & Government vertical primarily Trade promotion agencies, Associations, Tourism promotion boards, Ministries and other trade and government entities. The Business Development Account Manager role is part of the Trade & Government (TG) sales team based in the ASEAN head office (Singapore) that is tasked with managing as well as growing our existing portfolio of clients alongside bringing in new clients by selling our syndicated strategic market intelligence database \xe2\x80\x9cPassport\xe2\x80\x9d, our tactical big data machine learning pricing solution \xe2\x80\x9cVIA\xe2\x80\x9d as well as Custom Research Consulting Solutions into the Trade, Tourism, and Government sector. Business Development Account Manager (Trade & Government clients) Singapore As a Business Development Account Manager, you will be responsible forsecuring renewals, growing revenues (upsell) and identifying new consulting opportunities within your existing set of accounts; as well as targeting new organisations across Trade & Government sectors across ASEAN. This is a hybrid role and hence has both renewal targets as well as new business targets as its \xe2\x80\x98Key Performance Indicators\xe2\x80\x99. You will be a highly self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling in the trade & government sector. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have the tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to find the right contact, understand the client\xe2\x80\x99s issues, and match and apply the benefits in your solution. You will often need to involve several stakeholders, both internally and externally, in different locations across the world so strong networking and organisation skills as well as an understanding of government purchasing dynamics are a must. Additional Southeast Asia languages would therefore be an added advantage. Key responsibilities Renewal & Growth of existing client base: Be customer centric and contribute and execute on Euromonitor\xe2\x80\x99s Southeast Asia strategy for Trade and Government business. Lead the planning and development of an overall operational plan for the TG business for the ASEAN region as well as organisation specific strategies and business development plans for each account. Secure renewal of existing subscription amount alongside growth in subscription value year on year. Identify and target key contacts within your accounts for upsell as well as bespoke consulting work opportunities. Network within organizations to find and engage with decision makers, budget holders, influencers, etc. Prospecting new sales: Research a strong prospect list for your client base in your territory outside existing accounts. Identify key sponsors, influencers and decision makers at target institutions and ensure that you understand their roles and objectives, and that they understand the benefits and solutions that we provide. Manage the entire sales process involved with selling web-based planning tools and custom research solutions to new clients (e.g. prospecting, territory management, meeting scheduling, product demonstrations, multi-stakeholder business case development, objection handling, contract negotiation, etc.). Demonstrate effectiveness by consistently hitting (and exceeding) monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets. Take ownership of your personal sales targets Forecasting: Create detailed account plans for each of the existing accounts and work on a sales plan on how to reach sales targets and ensure implementation of the plan. Use consultative sales skills and careful time management to develop robust monthly forecasts. Analyze quantitative (e.g. conversion rates, sales cycles, average price points, etc.) and qualitative (e.g. objections, competitive strategies, winning applications, etc.) market feedback to inform adjustments that ensure on, or above, target performance. Personal Development: Take ownership of performance and personal development by attaching to goals, identifying obstacles and developing strategies to overcome them. Increase productivity by actively leveraging Euromonitor\'s training programs, supportive managers and diverse set of experienced colleagues.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering incremental revenue in the trade, government & public sector. An outstanding personal sales track record.
  • Possess strong relationship building skills and the capability of connecting to key decision makers in the government organisations in the Southeast Asia markets. Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with business partners and key industry associations (both domestic and international) in Southeast Asia; Be able to function comfortably in a C-suite environment; Solid influencing, negotiating, strategic relationship management and highly effective communication & presentation skills.
  • A targets-driven approach to work - ability to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. Ability to manage workload across all clients, balancing proactive commercial activities with reactive client support. Networking skills to uncover new opportunities and deepen client relationships. Tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to close deals. Provide corporate representation at public events across the Southeast Asia region including speaking engagements. Attend key conferences; Liaise closely with Marketing team to develop effective strategy for the territory.
  • Possess the ability to work independently as an individual contributor and as a member of a broader Singapore sales team as well as virtual global Government and Trade team.
