The Regional Growth Platform Leader, APAC \xe2\x80\x93 N&H is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the Nutrition and Health business for the region. This role is responsible for growing stronger business relationships in the Nutrition, Health, and Wellness market while increasing revenue through new and existing accounts.

This role will partner with Commercial teams across the region to identify target customers, establish plans for attaining business growth, establish connections with influencers and stakeholders, and boost margins for existing accounts. They use innovative strategies and tech-based resources such as market analysis and competitive research to better target customers and refine messaging across countries in the region.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning
  • Align with global leadership to develop the regional NHW growth strategy, lead activation of strategy, design the innovation strategy, define business development plans for APAC, proactively identify opportunities and risks, and introduce value propositions to clients and Go to Market (GTM).
  • Support the annual strategic planning process with the country-based business leaders and the regional strategy team.
  • Drive regional portfolio expansion strategy, NPIs, differentiation strategies, and regulatory approvals, including identification of targets for strategic alliances and M&A
  • Manage the development of capital, annual and long-term supply plans for the platform.
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the NHW market and the competitive environment to facilitate business development efforts.
  • Define and address regional competitiveness gaps \xe2\x80\x94 in products, costs, operations, services, technology and talent, utilizing research, insights, and data.
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses vs. competitor products and capabilities.
  • New Product and Service Development
  • Develop business plans for both existing and new products.
  • Develop value proposition, define segments/customers, market launch plans, effective communication throughout the region.
  • Ensure close alignment of health benefit focus areas with the overall platform strategy.
  • Define specific target markets and lead customers for market launch of new products.
  • Develop market launch plans to ensure successful rollouts to target countries.
  • Design product launch materials for use by Sales/Technical teams in collaboration with the marketing communication manager
  • Customer Value Development & Pricing
  • In conjunction with country Sales and Business Development Teams, drive discussions centered on nutrition science with customers to establish projects with target customers.
  • Drive regulatory approvals for APAC countries, working with internal/external Regulatory partners.
  • Communication
  • Lead the development of marketing strategies for the NHW platform, preparing strategic marketing plans with clear tactics and KPIs, and execute the Platform\xe2\x80\x99s growth plans.
  • Lead the positioning strategy for the NHW business and oversee external and internal communications. Develops thought leadership content for the Growth Platform and works with the Global Communication team to communicate it externally.
Qualified candidate will have:

Mandatory requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Nutrition, Food Science/Technology or related fields.
  • Work experience in Commercial / Business Development / Key Account / Marketing in a food ingredient or specialty chemical business
  • Strong business development expertise and proven track record of delivering sales growth.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and working with technology/product development.
  • Experience in working effectively with sales and technical representatives as well as customers
Desired requirements:
  • Experience in nutrition science or related filed (clinical nutrition, nutritional ingredient development, nutritionist)
Required behaviors and skills:
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to do active business development
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into tangible business plans and actions.
  • Proactively build a good understanding of the customer to ensure that own work is responsive to customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage network/matrix organizations to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and confidently communicate to senior management levels.
  • Motivated, self-starting professional with excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation).
