They will play a crucial role in accelerating GroupM towards a centralized, world class commercial finance support model, as well as advancing our capabilities in effectively tracking profitability at the client account level.As head of the regional commercial finance organization, our Regional Chief Commercial Officer will be obsessed with helping our global medium sized and local clients (Tier 3 & 4) grow. This senior leader will possess a robust set of problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with an exceptional aptitude for influencing and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for the overall commercial finance organization for Tier 3 & 4 Clients, aligning it with the company\'s broader goals and objectives.
  • Define the role and responsibilities of the commercial finance business partner function.
  • Champion standardization across data, processes, and tools, including developing templates for new business pitches and streamlining financial reporting for Tier 3 and 4 Clients.
  • Oversee the maintenance and refinement of our client tiering model, ensuring client segmentation aligns with size, profitability, complexity, and growth potential.
  • Define and implement a tailored client support model for Tier 3 and 4 Clients, maximizing service effectiveness and value delivery.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for client profitability.
  • Drive the budgeting / forecasting process for global Tier 3 and 4 new business pitches, facilitate key investment and resource allocation decisions, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with client contractual terms.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including agency senior leadership, commercial teams, and other internal functions.
  • There will be a separate function that will have responsibility for Client Reporting consistency and application. These functions will include but not be limited to:
  • Client Profitability
  • Client Reporting (i.e. OMI, media credits, contractual reporting)

The Skills
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in commercial and/or technical finance roles, showcasing a proven track record of successful leadership and strategic planning.
  • Significant experience working within the Media Investment and/or Advertising industry.
  • Proven ability to optimize commercial processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy in financial reporting and business decisions.
  • Experience in leading and executing large-scale initiatives that span organizational boundaries, requiring collaboration with business leaders to achieve results.
  • Experience developing and implementing business plans, financial models, and financial forecasts that support organizational goals and maximize profitability.
  • Ability to work well with a range of stakeholders; diplomatic, highly engaged, goal oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Emotionally intelligent, empathetic and a trusted sounding board. High level of integrity, maintaining strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information; able to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • A bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.
