Your Role

Our work reflects an enduring commitment to sustainability and the belief that design is one of the most powerful strategic tools for innovation and enduring success. Our integrated sustainability delivery model provides complete sustainable design, LEED and other sustainability rating systems strategy, and sustainability rating documentation.

As a Regional Climate Action & Sustainability PA Leader at Gensler, you will work with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. You will build an Asia Pacific and Middle East Climate Action & Sustainability Team, capable of providing turn-key sustainability support to clients and project teams from marketing through post-occupancy.

The primary focuses of this role are client interface, staff recruiting, team management, and technical leadership and mentorship across all areas of sustainable project delivery. Specific roles include facilitating sustainability charettes, generating portfolio-wide sustainability solutions, providing technical assistance on the selection of rating systems and credits, and supporting staff sustainability-related professional development.

What You Will Do

Regional Climate Action & Sustainability PA Leader

  • Build and lead the APME Regional Climate Action & Sustainability Practice Area, working with clients to develop appropriate sustainability and resilience initiatives relating to their enterprises
  • Create a culture of sustainability and resilient design in the APME Region by working with regional and office leaders, Managing Directors, and Design Synergy, Practice Area and Client Relationships leaders to set targets and establish key performance metrics, and by teaching and coaching the APME Team
  • Collaborate and partner with Firmwide Climate Action & Sustainability PA Leaders
  • Coordinate the work of multiple consultants and supervise the work of project team members
  • Provide technical and analytical support to project teams as needed, including attending or leading client meetings when necessary
  • Establish yourself as an internal and external leader in issues of technical capability related to sustainable design, including presentation at conferences and events
  • Identify and maintain awareness of current and emerging technologies, tools and methods as they impact the delivery of green building design
  • Ensure project status is integrated into Gensler marketing information (Digital Library)
  • Ensure that lessons learned are shared across projects
  • Establish and Manage LEED and other rating system Project Management Tools and Systems
  • Support LEED or other appropriate rating system accreditation by staff
  • Coordinate and conduct research on projects pursuing Living Building Challenge and Net Zero Building Certification
  • Work with Gensler\xe2\x80\x99s firmwide sustainability leaders to support sustainability, from project specifications and education programs to new sustainability service offerings
  • Stimulate internal knowledge and interest in new innovations, technologies and approaches, educating staff in their uses and applications
Your Qualifications and Experience
  • You have strong interest in and aptitude for design and sustainability, strong client relations and an ability to mentor, teach and train effectively
  • Degrees in sustainable building, architecture, engineering, interiors or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • LEED Accredited Professional
  • Strong knowledge of LEED and project management, gained through directly relevant project experience and education
  • Innovator, ability to create and successfully implement new programs
  • Experience conducting research projects and publishing research findings
  • Ability to synthesize new information quickly
  • Strong writing skills and technical presentation ability
  • Strong organization skills and self-directed
  • Working knowledge of Revit, IES, Excel, InDesign
  • Familiarity with the BIM project lifecycle through design, construction, and operational phases.
  • Understanding of BIM deliverables and terminology in contracts
