Regional Compliance Executive

What the day will look like

Singapore specific

  • Keep track that regulated staff sign off the letter of undertaking that no regulated activities to be conducted till approval is obtained.
  • Review and assess the fitness and propriety of regulated staff, taking into consideration \xe2\x80\x93 honesty and integrity, competency, financial soundness, through review of due diligence report and other relevant information.
  • Prepare letter of authorization letters for regulated staff in accordance with their approved regulated activities.
  • Regular review of the fitness and propriety of regulated staff under closer monitoring.
  • Annual fit and proper review and assessment of regulated staff, directors, and Senior Managers and Material Responsible Person (MRP) identified under MAS Individual accountability framework
  • Lodgment of new regulated staff particulars to MAS
  • Deregister regulated staff due to resignation, change of role etc, to MAS
  • Liaise with MAS on regulated staff related queries.
  • Maintain updated list of regulated staff and keep track of staff movements notified by HR.
  • Follow up with staff who do not comply with block leave requirements and work with HR to issue advisory letters
  • Update e-learning slides for refresher Singapore Compliance trainings
  • Other Singapore Compliance support work as may be required
Regional Compliance
  • Provide operational support to the Regional Compliance team in connection with execution of Compliance plan and activities such as implementation and monitoring of Compliance policies, tracking of responses and status of Compliance projects.
  • Reviewing client entertainment and gift acceptance requests, conduct Quarterly Entertainment and Gifts monitoring
  • Advising the business on Conflict-of-Interest requests
  • Support Regional Compliance on Third Party requests from business sponsors
  • Update e-learning training for Asia specific Anti-corruption for new hires and refresher
  • Supporting Regional Legal and Compliance team in submitting reports to Corporate Compliance and other operational matters
  • Providing administrative support to Regional Compliance team, which includes but not limited to setting up meetings, planning for logistics for collaborative sessions and managing expenses.
Skills and experience that will lead to success

Diploma or Degree level qualification in business, accounting discipline preferred

1-3 years of experience, but fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome to apply

Prior experience within the insurance/ financial services industry will be advantageous

Focused on attention to detail and accuracy and have strong analytic and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, drive, enthusiasm, and commitment

Able to interact at all levels within a global and diverse organization

Self-starter, inquisitive, pragmatic nature

Collaboration focused, team player

Can-do, willing to learn & grow attitude

Strong written and verbal communication skills
