YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES


Job Title: Indirect Procurement Category Manager, APAC+CNHK
Reports to: Director, Indirect Procurement APAC + CNHK

Summary:
The Indirect Procurement Category Manager is
responsible for development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for CNHK and some indirect categories for the entire region , to achieve the savings target and other KPIs set by the Management;
to assist in implementation of the Source-to-Pay system, following the global instructions and timeline;
to facilitate country local sourcing initiatives;
to monitor and report the performance by countries to ensure compliance with global and regional policies and procedures;
to provide guidance, training and support to countries as needed.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Confidentiality Agreement, Global Indirect Procurement Policy, etc.
Establish and maintain proactive communications with internal stakeholders.
Able to analyze reports and understand technical requirements to perform demand and spend analysis.
Perform market research to understand the market structure and market trend in the industry; identify capable, reliable and competitive vendors; manage qualification and approval process of new vendors in alignment with Brenntag Strategic Sourcing Process.
Design sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, lead time, payment terms; mitigate risks.
Execution of the strategies - form and lead a cross-functional sourcing project team as and when needed; apply sourcing and procurement tools and levers to maximize benefits for the company.
Prepare and maintain all sourcing documents such as RFx/auction documents and contracts in the designated repository.
Lead pricing and contract negotiations with vendors for the category/project assigned.
Develop and improve supplier relationships to secure suitable products and services in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Evaluate supplier performance and resolve supplier issues together with the business.
Train colleagues on indirect procurement policies, procedures and systems.
Monitor, document and resolve internal and external non-compliance issues; escalate when necessary.
Source-to-Pay system implementation: gather required data/information as instructed by the global project team, load required initial data in the system, participate in UAT, etc.
Establish and maintain proactive communications with category managers from other regions to align category strategies and exchange knowledge/information/best practices.
Support the vision and mission of the Company and Regional Indirect Procurement function.
Attend night meetings sometimes as required.

YOUR PROFILE Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any field.
Minimum 10 years of indirect sourcing experience.
A strong negotiator.
Solid contracting experience.
Strong communication skills in oral and written English; ability to read and speak other Asian languages is a plus.
Solid project management experience in leading cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams.
Good stakeholder management skills with customer service mindset.
Solid sourcing experience in some of these categories - transportation(sea/air/road), industry packaging (IBCs, drums, etc), MRO, rent & lease, fuel & energy, CAPEX (construction &fit-out), travel, HR services - will be preferred.
Being able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with sense of urgency is mandatory.
Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
Thriving on challenges with positive mindset and strong teamwork spirit.
Experience in using sourcing/procurement systems is a plus.
