Regional IM&S Category Manager, Packaging - Your future position?

Workplace location: Woodlands, Singapore

Reporting to: Regional Head of Procurement, Indirect Materials & Services

In this exciting role, you will develop and implement regional strategies (and related tactical plans) to source the Packaging category, and secure supply following business plans for both business divisions - Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrance & Beauty.

Main Responsibilities

Sourcing Strategy

Drive the development and implementation of regional category strategies within the framework of the global procurement and category strategy

Analyze market, to identify new sources, assess market trends and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio

Drive regional sourcing strategy implementation by leading major sourcing events and key negotiations and build the supply base with the best mix of vendors.

Portfolio Management

Negotiate major local, regional contracts, define contract best practices and implement at regional and local levels across APAC (including Overall responsibility for Singapore Packaging)

Define supplier selection criteria, build scenarios and support the allocation decision-making process.

Close partnership with Packaging Engineers, EHS, Quality and Operations communities

Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and involve and engage stakeholders in development of optimization plans

Link with Site Buyers to identify to ensure implementation of regional deals at local level and exchange best practices, deploy global strategies, contracts and framework agreements, collect supplier performance feedback

Agreement with Country Indirect Material & Services Managers on priorities and building the regional projects pipeline

Work with regional Sourcing Support Team to accomplish benchmarks, RFI\'s and RFP\'s.

Provide category input for the budget process and subsequent budget reviews (Price forecast, market trends, etc.)

Identify potential demand and specification changes and communicate them to suppliers

Manage regional main supplier relationship (regional and global suppliers), and lead escalations resolution.

Define supplier performance process

Communicate with important internal stakeholders/Global Category Managers any market conditions changes and trends which may affect the Business

Develop business cases to communicate/influence partners to lead cost and productivity improvements

Stakeholder Relationship

Communicate with important internal stakeholders/Global Category Managers any market conditions changes which may affect the Business

Be an active contributor to our sustainability and responsible sourcing programs in the area of packaging

Support the responsible sourcing projects implementation and provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed

Cost Optimization and Business Planning

Prepare initiative plans and forecasts following business budget cycle

Develop cost reduction projects

Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities and services

Core Requirements:

3~5 years experience in Packaging procurement

International exposure in previous roles

Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
