Regional Supply Chain Manager (planning)

Job Description


Position Context This role is part of the HNC APAC premix operations leadership team and is expected to cooperate closely with the 4 respective sites in areas of QA/QC, Production, Procurement, Warehousing, Customer Care, Commercial, and Finance to manage regional supply chain in line with corporate and regional requirements and targets having regard to the following factors:

  • Manage the regional supply chain team and deliver required supply chain results: applicable KPI’s (On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), Leadtime, CIRT, Inventory Value, CDI, Transportation budget, Production output, minimizing waste (such as blocked stock or aging material), Sales and Profit value)
  • Customer Centricity: partner Account Managers to meet customers’ requirements and needs, maintaining relationships including audits, visits at customer sites, improvement projects
  • Cross functional groups environment: support various functional groups like customer care, sales, commercial, raw material qualification, formulation across the organization with operational and supply chain insight
  • Support for regional, global and local management: troubleshooting, operational and supply chain excellence, as well as multifunctional projects
  • Partner with Suppliers: maintain relationships and collaborate to achieve objectives (transportation, raw materials)
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement HNC APAC premix supply chain strategy, policies, and good practices
  • Co-lead S&OP process in the region as owner of STR and Supply Review (SR)
  • Adequately support customers’ needs and requirements and drive operational excellence in partnership with the site managers
  • Manage and support regional and local premix supply chain teams in wide area of operation: order management, raw material and production planning, transportation planning, customs
  • Responsible for regional premix SC department KPIs
  • First point of contact for premix supply chain related topics in APAC
  • Deliver supply chain process improvements and optimization whilst meeting agreed customer service levels
  • Role model DSM Culture Compass behaviours and actively contribute to the strategies of HNC APAC
  • Manage the team and translate DSM strategy into team and individual goals, organize tasks and responsibilities to achieve the goals and ensure efficiency
  • Identify training and development needs and support career development
  • Be a culture steward for the DSM Culture Compass behaviours
  • Execute the job within the applicable SHE and Quality structure and system, provide proposals for further enhancing the SHE&Q structure and system and contribute to ensure a safe and healthy working place for employees
  • Act as a leader of SHE best practices.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/operations/logistics
  • Min 10 years of experience in the supply chain function with min 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in Production/Materials planning in a matrix organization
  • High learning agility, open-minded personality and influencing skills, stakeholder’s management.
  • Pro-active and customer focused
