A Snapshot of Your Day
Regional Technical Support Engineer (TSE) provides technical and engineering support related to equipment within a Siemens Energy (SE) Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) Package. The Regional TSE position is an integral part of the Regional Operation team. This position involves direct engagement with End Customers (within Asia Pacific Region), Third Party Vendors, Field Service team, Marketing & Sales team, Product Competency Center (PCC) and Project Management teams, in the resolution of equipment and/or operational problems.
How You\'ll Make an Impact
\xc2\xb7 Act as technical consultant to end customer, joint venture partner, project teams, marketing & sales team etc.
\xc2\xb7 Provide prompt technical response to Customer to keep our customer equipment operating safely.
\xc2\xb7 Assist and guide Customer to fault find and resolve equipment related technical issues.
\xc2\xb7 Direct communications with vendors in the solution of auxiliary equipment failure or malfunction.
\xc2\xb7 Liaise with Product Competency Center (PCC) to seek further support if technical issue cannot be resolved regionally.
\xc2\xb7 Write fact based technical reports with high level of proficiency.
\xc2\xb7 Create Field Change Order (FCO) instructions and work procedures, to support Field Engineers and Customer personnel with Site modification or change-out activities.
\xc2\xb7 Identification of complaints from customer and escalate it through appropriate channels.
\xc2\xb7 Perform field tests and failure investigation on overall packages and components.
\xc2\xb7 Support Modifications & Upgrades (MK&S) team to identify new opportunities from technical recommendations provided to the customer.
\xc2\xb7 Assist Project Team during planning and execution.
\xc2\xb7 Assist in the training of Company and Customer personnel.
\xc2\xb7 Provide hands-on service and troubleshooting as required. At times, this will require traveling to site (around 30% of the time)
\xc2\xb7 Capable and willing to assist the Regional Technical Support Manager in special projects and improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
\xc2\xb7 Degree/ Diploma in Engineering related discipline.
\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 4 years\' experience working with Rotating Machinery in the oil and gas industry and/or power generation industry.
\xc2\xb7 Experience working on Siemens Energy Gas Turbines and/or Turbo Compressors.
\xc2\xb7 Good understanding of operations of gas turbine and driven compression equipment and their associated auxiliary systems, such as air filtration, acoustic packages, lube oils systems, fuel gas systems, seal gas system and other auxiliary systems.
\xc2\xb7 Essential to have good understanding of control systems including hardware design, power distribution, networking, electrical wiring (internal to UCP and Cross site cables), Allen Bradley platform or SIMATIC S7-1500 platform controls.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work as a team player and contribute to the success of the team.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate and exchange ideas effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to initiate ideas to resolve complex issues into practical engineering solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Ability (BOSIET, CA-EBS, MIST, H2S) and willingness to travel to supplier and customer sites to perform site surveys, assessments, customer meetings, and possibly participate in safety discussions.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the following: IEC, ISO, NFPA, NACE, API, Machinery Directive, EMC, CSA, ANSI, ASME, UL.
\xc2\xb7 Full working rights in Singapore.
