The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 6-month contract at the Project Title: Effectiveness of Prevention of Drug Abuse Communi The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 6-month contract at the Project Title: Effectiveness of Prevention of Drug Abuse Communications on Social Media Project Introduction: Central Narcotics Board has been using social media as a platform for its preventive drug education messages. This leverages on the unique characteristics of social media in reaching out to specific target groups, particularly the younger population. However, there are many challenges. The aim of this research is therefore to examine the effectiveness of preventive drug education messages on social media. This will allow the government agency to develop more effective messages. In addition, the research can provide insights on how attitudes and behaviours towards illicit drug use can be changed through such messages on social media. Requirements Essential Bachelor's Degree in any discipline Experience in research Possess good written and oral communications skills Able to work independently Preferred Experience in research involving social media Experience in research using surveys and experiments Responsibilities Assist with data collection and administering experiments Run statistical analysis using SPSS or any other statistical software Conduct literature reviews Assist with other research-related activities Any other duties as assigned by Principal Investigator Application Applicants (external and internal) will apply via Workday.
