Project Introduction: Brain literacy involves understanding the how the brain functions during behaviours and learning. Brain literacy is emerging as an important component of teaching and learning in the educational neuroscience field. The aim of the project is to utilise an existing neuroscience database to enhance educator brain literacy around key concepts related to learning. The project will involve the development of terms in an existing neuroscience/neuroimaging database for educational use, along with a neuro-education workshop to evaluate the efficacy of this tool in promoting brain literacy among educators.
The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day project coordination activities, assist with the development of educational neuroscience terms in the database, and planning of workshops with teachers and researchers. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to work on this collaborative development project with different colleagues from National Institute of Education and Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, as well as liaise with international collaborators in the United States.
