The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 5-month contract at the Physical Education and Sport Science (PESS) Academic Group .

Requirements
A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer science, Sport Science, Education or related scientific discipline
Good knowledge marker-less human movement analysis
Experience in conducting experimental research on human participants
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Excellent computer competency, advanced knowledge of coding (python, R)
Excellent ability to manage large multi-source data set
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible of:
Recruit participants and schedule data collection
Data collection (video and audio recording of actual and scripted lessons)
Data processing (using open access algorithm like MediaPipe and openpose)
Coding/tagging of teaching activities on the videos recorded from the actual classroom
Data organization (video, audio, script, csv, txt data)
Data storage, cleaning and analysis (using R, JASP, Python)
Prepare reports, conference presentations and draft for journal publications
Support general maintenance and activities of NIE Motor Behavior Lab
Other related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
