Established in 1992, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations. The Privacy and Emotion Lab in WKWSCI is a research lab that conduct in-depth study about individuals\xe2\x80\x99 usage.WKWSCI is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow. The incumbent will support the research project that aims to design human-IoT communication that effectively motivates seniors to actively engage in self-directed health prevention, leading to improvements in their mental and physical well-being. Consequently, our project will primarily focus on relatively healthier seniors (aged 60 and above), who do not have serious health conditions requiring intensive medical treatment.Key Responsibilities:Conduct literature reviews and working on research papersLead in the conceptualization and planning of research projectsLead in data gathering (including focus group discussions and surveys)Conduct data analyses of interview data and survey dataActively contribute to the writing of academic research manuscriptLead in the writing of reportsCarry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessaryJob Requirements:PhD degree in Communication Studies, Psychology or related field in the social sciencesPrior experience in focus group interviews and surveys for social science researchAbility to run standard statistical tests (e.g., using SPSS or Mplus for regression analysis and SEM, etc.)Knowledge of advanced statistical tests (e.g. moderation/mediation, hierarchical regression etc.) is preferredGood project management skills, with multi-tasking abilityAcademic writing skillsGood publication track record evidenced by journal publications and conference presentations is preferredWe regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
