Research Fellow (fiber Postprocessing)
Job Description
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is looking for a highly motivated Research Fellow in Fiber Postprocessing in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The Research Fellow will assist the Reporting Manager in a project funded by the Ministry of Education Singapore, Enhancing light-matter interactions in all-hollow fiber-optic cavity.
Responsibilities:
Designing, fabricating, and characterizing microstructured hollow core optical fibers;
Postprocessing hollow core optical fibers for creating all-fiberized cavity;
Assisting graduate- and undergraduate-level research students; and
Managing day-to-day operations of the laboratories.
Requirements:
PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related field
Experience in microstructured fiber design
Extensive experience in undertaking hollow core optical fiber related research
Proficient in writing and communicat
Good publication track record.
The position is for one-year.
