A postdoctoral research fellow position is immediately available at the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our lab is particularly interested in early detection of gastrointestinal cancers - specifically through the use of multi-omic approaches, by integrating molecular biomarkers, clinical risk factors, and gut microbiome, to predict the risk of deveoping GI cancers and suggest the intervention for better survival.

The candidate is to effectively manage grants, manage the team, provide administrative support to the Principal Investigators and Co-investigators, and ensure the projects milestones are met.

Duties

Research Administration

• To provide administrative support to the Principal Investigators and Co-investigators.

Grant Management

• To identify and evaluate funding opportunities, prepare/submit grant proposals and manage existing grants.

Data Analysis and Research Write-up

• To ensure data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to research protocols
• To perform statistical analysis and interpret research findings with collaboration with statisticians
• To generate reports, visualizations, and summaries of research findings for contribution to research publications and presentations

Organize Annual Scientific Meeting

• To prepare programme, coordinate conference logistics and facilitate communication and networking opportunities during the conference

Management of the Research Team

• To provide leadership and guidance to the team members, set clear goals and expectations for team members\' performance and coordinate and delegate research tasks among team members

Qualifications

• Requires a doctorate degree. Master\'s degrees with experience can also be considered
• Strong experience in managing research projects and grants, preferably in the healthcare or biomedical field
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent writing and comprehension skills
• Responsible team player, independent, meticulous and resourceful
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively
