Job Description


The Role

The Senior Manager position in the Gastric Translational Research (GTR) team is to support and facilitate research activities related to digestive diseases and is responsible for the GTR operation team.

The candidate is to effectively manage grants, manage the team, provide administrative support to the Principal Investigators and Co-investigators from NUS, NUH, TTSH, SGH and NCCS, and ensure the projects milestones are met. This position aims to secure funding, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and clinical applications. The Senior Manager contributes to advancing research, improving patient care, and addressing important clinical questions in the field of gastric and colorectal cancer.



Research Administration
To provide administrative support to the Principal Investigators and Co-investigators from NUS, NUH, TTSH, SGH and NCCS

Grant Management
To identify and evaluate funding opportunities, prepare/submit grant proposals and manage existing grants of $43 million

Collaboration and Synergism
To foster close interaction between clinicians/scientists and facilitate the translation of biologic discoveries made in the laboratory into clinical applications

Management of the Research Team
To provide leadership and guidance to the team members, set clear goals and expectations for team members\' performance and coordinate and delegate research tasks among team members

Data Analysis and Research Write-up
To ensure data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to research protocols
To perform statistical analysis and interpret research findings with collaboration with statisticians
To generate reports, visualizations, and summaries of research findings for contribution to research publications and presentations

Organize Annual Scientific Meeting
To prepare programme, coordinate conference logistics and facilitate communication and networking opportunities during the conference

Qualifications

  • A bachelor\'s degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, public health, healthcare management with at least 10 years\' research experience
  • Strong experience in managing research projects and grants, preferably in the healthcare or biomedical field
  • xcellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent writing and comprehension skills
  • Responsible team player, independent, meticulous and resourceful
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively
